(these are the basic directions from here you may add anything you like)
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup corn meal
1 1/4 tsp dry granular yeast
2 tb honey
3 whole well beaten eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup water (approx.)
1/4 cup hulled millet seed
1 1/2 cups mixed veggies (thawed in hot water) or fruits, figs, nuts,
berries, seeds anything your parrot likes.
Blend together flour, corn meal and yeast
Beat eggs, stir in milk and honey
Stir into dry ingredients..mix well but do not beat.
Fold in fruit/veggies and millet seed
Add water if necessary to make a thick but smooth mixture
Pour into a lightly sprayed 9x9 pan
Bake at 400 deg for approx. 45 minutes..Top should be golden brown.
When cool, serve and watch your parrot devour it...
Hint: a good way to sneak in non favorite veggies... :-)
